WHEN YOU COME TO PARIS AS A TOURIST, YOU HAVE AN IMPRESSION OF WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. BUT AFTER FEW MONTHS LIVING THERE YOU UNDERSTAND THAT MOST OF THE PLACES THAT HAVE A "PARISIAN" ATHMOSPHERE IS IN FACT A TOURIST TRAP. THE SAME FOR THIS SCHOOL.

Quel est, selon vous, le principal atout de ce programme ?
It is a way to get a student visa for international students. However, it is an expensive way to get it. For French people, it is just a name on the diploma. Just a paper to show to their parents who paid for it.

In an ideal world, the contents of the profram would make sense. Sadly, in reality, it is taught awfully, the administration doesn't care about it. Neither the majority of the students.

Qualité des professeurs permanents
I understand that we're in France. I even speak French. But if you teach a classe on an English-speaking program, one would assume you can speak English? Not in emlyon. One would even assume you are able to teach (= to communicate a new information in a coherent and understandable form)? Not in emlyon. Of course, there are some nice professors, but is it normal that the best professors I have had on this master's are not even from our university? Yes, I am saying that in my opinion, the best professor on the program is an invited professors from other universities!

Qualité des intervenants professionnels extérieurs
Most of the time invited lecturers (not professors, but working professionals from the industry) were not informed about what we have learnt or about the lectures we have had before them. It has happened several times that we have listened to the same lecture about the same topic two or more times. So these poor people travelled to Lyon for nothing.

The first semester is a "intro" semester. In my mind, it is too much. And for the majority of my promotion. The second semester is full of stress and homeworks and hard classes and exams. And it was discussed with the administration. They will change a 1-year programme to a 2-year programme. Instead of just getting read of the "intro" semester (or making it into an "intro month").

Qualité du directeur de programme et notoriété de la formation
In the beginning of the year I came with an issue to of the managers of the programme. I said that some of the exams of our academic year are a full copy of the last academic year (aka some professors didn't even bother to change it). She has told me that they are aware of this problem and from this moment on they will verify if the examination questions are the same or not. Did they do it? No. There have been a lot of exams similar to the last year's exam. Just shows how much they don't care about the level of the education.

Stages et aide à l'insertion professionnelle
Programme administrators perfectly know that it is hard to find an internship in France for international students. Nothing was made to accomodate us. The French language courses were a complete waste of time. All the internship offers sent by the programme managers are "for French-speakers only". Vive la France, bien sûr, but we pay the same amount for this master as the French students.

Waste of time and money. The program is unbalanced, half of the professors are invited professionals, who don't really care (and most of the time) don't know how to teach students.
